If you would have never told me, I would have guessed that it was a layer of chocolate.

It probably wouldn’t be as bad if you sliced off the outer parts and served it with ice cream

I’d bring some milk into the equation and eat it like leftover cornbread.

Scrape off the burnt and enjoy. Get some canned cherries or frozen strawberries and dump on the yummy partΒ

It’s not burnt. It’s just a well done Basque as opposed to medium rare.

Should still be good it’s only dark black in a few spots, and only slightly overcooked.

I enjoy a heavy sear on cheesecake…I crave the contrast of flavors! Fantastic job!

Always set the timer to check well before it could possibly be finished.
If instructions say bake for 30 mins there’s no way I would wait till even 25 mins to check, for a new recipe, new pan, new oven, new anything. I might be game if it’s something very forgiving that I’ve cooked many times.

My friend who claim they can’t cook refuse to adhere to these rules. They also change the recipe on the first try just because they feel like it.
